Engagement Terms

These Engagement Terms describe the usual basis on which Nucleus Legal Practice accepts legal work. They are general terms and may be supplemented or replaced by a written engagement letter for a specific matter.

Start of engagement

An initial consultation, inquiry, or exchange of information does not create an engagement. Nucleus is engaged only after written acceptance, completion of conflict checks, client onboarding, and agreement on scope and fees.

Scope of work

The services, deliverables, assumptions, exclusions, timeline, and responsible contacts will be confirmed in writing. Work outside the agreed scope may require a separate quote or written approval.

Fees and expenses

Fees shown on the website are indicative unless confirmed in writing. Quoted legal fees generally exclude government charges, translation, notarization, courier, expert, third-party, and regulatory fees unless expressly stated. VAT or other applicable taxes may be added where required.

Client responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing complete and accurate information, instructions, approvals, and documents on time. Delays or incomplete information may affect timelines, costs, and outcomes.

Conflicts, KYC, and compliance

Nucleus may decline or stop acting where a conflict of interest, sanctions, anti-money laundering, identity verification, professional conduct, or regulatory issue arises.

Communications

We may communicate by email, phone, messaging tools, video calls, or document platforms unless agreed otherwise. Electronic communication carries normal security and delivery risks.

Confidentiality

Nucleus treats client information as confidential subject to applicable law, professional obligations, court or authority requirements, and permissions needed to perform the work.

Termination

Either party may end an engagement in accordance with the engagement letter and applicable professional rules. Fees and expenses incurred up to termination remain payable.

Records

Nucleus may retain matter files and records for legal, regulatory, professional, and business purposes. Original documents should be requested promptly when needed.

Governing law

Engagements are governed by the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia unless the written engagement letter states otherwise.
